Dec. 17th, 2012 02:47 pmI have heard of both Tokio Hotel and Cinema Bizarre, and have heard examples of each band's music style, without being affected. So why have I been listening to a few songs from each over and over for two days solid? Oh, no, this is how obsession begins . . .
For those of you who have seen The Hobbit, read this script spoof. NOW. It's the funniest thing I have read in a long, long time. I would write one myself, but this lady seems to have covered everything spot-on.
Now back to editing. Note to self: research the history of ottomans. You've put that off for far too long.

Spoiler-Free Hobbit Thoughts
Dec. 14th, 2012 07:21 pmThe cast was perfection. The cast was amazing. The cast was every bit as good as it was in LotR (especially since a lot of old friends were able to come round again).
Oh, and did I mention that the cast made the movie?
I had high expectations for Martin Freeman and Richard Armitage already, thanks to Martin's performance as John Watson in BBC's Sherlock and Armitage's roles in North and South and Spooks.
But they still blew me away completely. I think I'll be in a mild state of pleasant shock for a while.

Some fans were wondering if anybody would be able to pull off the whole "heartthrob" Dwarf thing. Guess what? Thorin sure did. I'm now a believer, albeit a bewildered one.

The dwarves look perfect! Young Bilbo looks perfect! Mirkwood looks perfect!
The sets look EXACTLY the same . . .
Bilbo and Gandalf and Galadriel look as much like they did before as a decade's time will allow, and more . . .
GOOD GRIEF, even the coloring is exactly the same!
I rarely fangirl like I will never think rationally again, but this, this . . . THIS IS WORTH IT!!!
I have no idea how I'm going to wait a year for this. NO IDEA.
Excuse me while I go flailing happily around the house, oblivious to my family's stares.
