you search frantically through four or five half-filled notebooks, to find the one with a specific passage. I'm beginning to think I dreamed about writing this one. Luckily, it's just in the beginning stages, so most of the stuff is still fresh in mind.

You'd think writers would be smart and stick to just one notebook for every idea. But, no, that would be way too sensible and easy. *headdesk*

Here, have some Epica!

It's a simpler layout this time. It's amazing how few simple greyscale templates there are out there. Sheesh. But still, I'm happy I finally got a good result.

I spaced out and completely forgot that Epica released a new album in May. *hangs head in shame* It's great, and some moments are so heart-pumping, I nearly had to just sit aside and chill for a bit. Wow. Must save moneyz faster so I can buy this after some GACKT goodies. :D

This is THE BEST fandom/classic crossover fanart. EVER. The only reason I'm not screaming like a banshee and running around in circles is because I'm at work. The original painting, The Accolade by Edmund Blair Leighton, is my favorite piece of artwork of all time. Just look at the lighting there. Look at it. Magnificent, utterly magnificent. Excuse me while I bide my time till my break so I can run outside and squee.

I usually hold love songs in cordial disdain--but this song, like my all-time favorite All I Ask of You, is a beloved exception. :)

I love the beginning of this song to pieces. (Not too crazy about the growling, though.) Bless the day that an aspiring young singer named Simone decided to turn her vocal style from pop to operatic. (Anybody care to take a stab at who inspired her to do so?)

Seriously, I don't know if it can get any better than this. :)

The rant:

I was talking to a new hire at the retail store today. She's a sweet girl, nervous about her modeling gig directly after her shift at the store, and I did my best to encourage her. Then she said the gig was for a Victoria's Secret ad. The girl couldn't be older than 16, and looked like 13 or 14--and she was scared stiff of modeling underwear. That really upset me. Am I the only one disturbed by the idea of a girl under 18 posing for pictures in lingerie? Or am I just a prude? (I think I'm a prude, regardless. I wouldn't pose in lingerie at any age. It's one of the reasons why I'm not a model myself in the first place--though, naturally, I can't say THAT to people who urge me to be a model.)

The rave:

My brothers are always going to this concert and that with friends, because they all are fans of bands that actually come through town frequently. (It's the only thing I regret about being a fan of foreign bands--makes it harder to see them live.) FINALLY, one of my bands is coming!

I don't know what to do with myself, I'm so excited! I can't begin to say how much I admire Simone Simons as a vocalist. She's incredible! How early should I buy tickets? Should I request just that day off at work, or should I request several, because I'll be too excited to work? Gah, decisions, decisions.

All I know is, right now, I need more party!GIFS. :D

I just got "The Classical Conspiracy" CD a couple weeks ago. Before that, my little sister liked to fall asleep listening to Enya every night. Now, when either Mom or I tuck her in, she wants me to start the Spiderman Medley playing. And she likes to play it while she's awake, too. I never thought I could possibly have too much Epica, but what with my sister playing this one track over and over 24/7, I'm starting to wonder if I was wrong. LOL.

Oh, well. At least I'm helping her develop good taste, right? :D

Excuse me while I put my fangirling on loop. I love Andrew Lloyd Webber's music to pieces (don't get me started on Phantom of the Opera), and I love Simone's voice. Amazing!

Can EPICA possible grow more awesome?

I had thought about taking all my favorites from this genre and compiling a list with my very favorite song at the top, and then I realized that would take WAY too long. So I'm just going to pick random songs and post them in no particular order. It'll still take forever for me to go through all of them, but it'll go faster than it would if I tried to put them in order. LOL.

And under here is my random rambling about why I love this song . . . )
