Cards and Doctors

A belated but heartfelt thanks to all of you who sent me Christmas cards. I love 'em, and I'm putting 'em on display. (BTW, rhoda_rants the glitter was quite sufficient, thank you! I won't be vacuuming my carpet. I like having glittery floors, so I can pretend I'm walking on pixie dust.) :)



After having watched the Christmas Special and finally gotten around to finishing Eccleston's last episode, I've come to three conclusions. 1. The entire fandom needs hugs or alternate ending fanfics. 2. It was a bad idea to put myself through first viewing of two regenerations in one week. 3. Nine is my favorite Doctor. It's hard to pinpoint why, but the simple version is this: he's one of the snarkiest, and one of the darkest, and he's the one I'd want for a pal.

Ten will always be my favorite, but Nine is a close second. (I've never connected to Eleven and was quite glad when his run was over.) I like the darkness of Nine because it fit with what had happened to him during the Time War and showed just how alone he was. I think Ten's more "goofy" because when he regenerated he had Rose, someone who was his friend, and he didn't have to carry such a heaviness of being alone. But he still could be dark; which I liked that he kept that part of Nine.

Ahhh wait wait. Are you caught up to the current point plot-wise? Watched Ten and Eleven? Because, however I feel like the Christmas special was lacking in certain areas this year, it does explain a lot of issues and is so important to be caught up on those!

My fav is Ten. I love his range of emotion, his wackiness, and enthusiasm. And out of Classics Two or Four would probably be my fav but it's hard to say, only have seen 4 episodes of each Doc so far. Really wanna go back and watch them more.

I personally am also excited for Twelve and potential stories that are available to us now. :) Think there are fun places to go, provided Moffat and co don't steer us too deep into Plot Canyon...

I've watched all of Eleven, but only bits and pieces of Ten. (Working on that now. :D)

Oh, yes, I'm VERY excited for Twelve as well, even though my heart bleeds for everybody who likes Eleven best. :D

I'm so happy you love Nine!! He is my favorite Doctor as well (although it's pretty impossible to choose!). Despite all the funky plots and CGI of the first season, Nine makes it all amazing!
