I usually don't like it when a band takes a folk song and revamps it with a back beat and squealing electric guitars, but this song is one of the exceptions. ♥

I LOVE this interpretation of Scarborough Fair! I found it a little while ago and have been listening to it pretty constantly x) (It helps that Scarborough Fair is one of my favourite folk songs and I have yet to find an interpretation that I don't like)

Scarborough Fair is such a lovely song, you have to really, really stink in order to ruin it. LOL!

I love, love this song. And I know what you mean about revamping folk songs. It can either be amazing, or kind of embarrassing. This version works I think because it keeps that tone of being slightly mysterious and very celtic, without pushing it too far into heavy-heavy metal.

You're right. I was trying find a way to describe their spin on it--and you nailed it!
