In other words, I FINALLY watched the latest Ice Age movie. Dumb plot that can't compare to wit of the third installment, but there were great characters as usual (except for the boring villain). And I want more Diego/Shira scenes, dagnabbit! Took you people freaking long enough to find a girl for the character with the deep, sexy voice, as my Mom said. I am convinced Dennis Leary's voice is magical.

Holy crap, dude. I was absolutely sure this was somebody else when I saw the macro, one of my friends who posts a lot of memes. Then I saw the username and went, "Wait, what??"

Okay, I'm totally doing this. The Girl With Uncountable Fandoms can't possibly not do this.

I've seen a couple episodes with a friend. (I've been trying to get said friend into HP for a while now. Merlin's okay, but HP is not? Sorry, hun, that's no excuse. I overcame my objections; she can, too.) Anyhow, so long as I pretend that the show is some AU fanfic exploring the possibility of Arthur and Merlin being the same age, I can stand the discrepancies. Almost.

Brandon Sanderson? Is that who I think it--OH YES. I read The Way of Kings near the end of 2012. LOVED IT. I knew he taught in Utah, but I didn't know he had a lecture series. *takes notes*

Seriously. Even my stepmom got over that eventually. Still won't read the books, but she's well into the movies.

Mistborn is in my TBR pile! Haven't read it yet, but it's rising to the top of my list after watching those clips.

Good for her! Now I just have to slowly, patiently "corrupt" my friend. She's a HUGE John Williams fan (bigger fan than I am), so I think I'll work that angle. And/or the fact that every film student should see the HP movies.
