This is stunning! You’ve made such good use of the comparisons between them through the fire metaphors and then used them to show the massive differences between them too (he plays with fire, she is fire).
Also the fact you started out with him being cold in her presence was so disquieting that it gave me the shivers too.
The study into Pyro’s character is very interesting as well, he’s still looking out for himself above everything else but there’s also a lot deeper things going on and for once, he can’t be cocky about it.
