In Which I Confess My Wicked-ness . . . .
Feb. 23rd, 2012 11:48 amLast week, I went to see a performance of "Wicked" with my real life BFF. I wasn't sure I would like it, because I'd already created my own visual idea of how events should unfold, from listening to the soundtrack of the original Broadway cast, and I thought I'd be disappointed with the actual performance.
I wasn't disappointed. It was, hands down, one of the most awesome things I'd ever seen. I'm so glad she got me hooked on "Wicked". (Amusingly, our friendship is a lot like that of Elphaba and Galinda--minus a Fiyero to make things complicated. We haven't met a guy to fight over. Yet.)
It's hard to choose which songs to prefer above the others, but if I was forced at gunpoint to choose just four, it would be these four.
( The Wizard and I, What Is This Feeling, Defying Gravity, and No Good Deed )
