This entire episode felt like a dream--no, make that a mirage. Really, I can't believe any of this really happened, it's so surreal.

Anybody else feel kinda weird that we barely saw Mads Mikkelsen at all this episode? Maybe that's why it feels so dreamlike.

Someone, somewhere else suggested that Crawford and Will may be faking Chiilton's death and he's really in protective custody in order to catch Hannibal as the Ripper. I want to believe that--since Crawford seems to still think Hannibal is the Ripper based on the promo. But I feel like faking Chilton's death really cheapens the show.

I am so frustrated with Alana right now. Man, it better be worth it to see her complete meltdown when she realizes who Hannibal is. My mom and I both laughed when Will figured out that she sleeping--or at least involved romantically--with Hannibal.

Same here! we're both on the denial train now. Thanks to his lines in this episode, and also Raul Esparza being awesome, I really started to like him in this episode. Which was why I had a bad feeling he'd be gone, though not this soon. I really hope they were faking his death--with him gone, who will be let to torment Hannibal when they lock him up? Is Alana gonna take over?

I forgot to mention, I also LOL'd when Will told Chilton Hannibal wouldn't kill him because he wants to be his friend. Will Graham knows what is up and is going to use Hannibal's loneliness against him.

Eh, I don't think she deserves it. i completely understand where Alana is coming from and why she wouldn't believe Hannibal is the Ripper. However. . .with everyone starting to figure it out, we haven't had a COMPLETE MELTDOWN. Everyone--Will, Crawford, Bev, Chilton--seems to be taking it in strides. I want a MELTDOWN, and I think Alana's the one who's gonna bring it.

I second the dream/mirage feelings. There was something very weird about the timing and use of space in this episode. Not in a bad way, but...

...that scene with Will and Miriam where they're both talking about being survivors of the Ripper. Where was that? Seriously, where was that? And even though I know neither of them is in danger from each other, I thought it was weird that they were allowed to be in a room alone together considering what they'd just been through.

Something I didn't realize until getting up in the comments of comment section of the open thread over at Chez Cleo: GIDEON IS DEAD NOW. That was him de-limbed in the basement. I didn't put that together AT ALL until after the fact. So that's two--count 'em, two!--major male characters getting deaded in one episode. Wow. Just throwing it out there. (Assuming Chilton is dead, which I"m skeptical about, and not just because I want it to be true.)

Still in the hit-her-with-a-brick stage right now. Mm-hm. Although in her defense, that gloat he opened up with was pretty obnoxious.

I can't really fault her for that one. Even though I understand Will's attempt to kill Hannibal better than she does, it does cross a line, and that matters. That's significant. And may I just point out: She's still wearing a *lot* of blue.

I am LOVING Miriam right now. At first, I was little, "Eh?" about Anna Chlumsky's portrayal, because she seemed oddly lucid and articulate considering she's spent the better part of two years down a hole getting her brain scrambled and her limbs removed. But then we got to the end, and she just dissolved into a screaming/sobbing/shaking bundle of hysteria, and I went, "Whoa. Damn. She's good." Nicely done--both the repressing of all that trauma, and the outburst when she couldn't anymore.

Where was that? Seriously, where was that?

No clue! I've got a vague assumption it's somewhere under FBI jurisdiction, with Crawford hovering protectively in the shadows.

I'm such a Will fangirl right now, he could gloat to the entire universe for the rest of eternity, and I wouldn't mind. LOL. But about the blue, I was nearly blinded by the brightness of her blue dress, in contrast to the muted greys all around her, when Alana was questioning Chilton. And I immediately thought of you. :)

Oh, yeah. That was totally uncomfortable to watch for all the right reasons. What I wanna know is, did Hannibal sneak a voice recording of Chilton somehow?

What was Miriam even doing in the vicinity of a gun?? How did that not seem like an AWFUL idea to Jack??? (who, ya know, has been the king of good decision-making, right?)

And I'm quite angry with Alana. LOOK WOMAN I KNOW HANNIBAL IS CUTE AND LIKE YOUR FRIEND AND ALL BUT FOR FUCK'S SAKE THIS IS NOT THE TIME TO BE STUBBORN ABOUT HIM NOT BEING A MURDERER
