Ooh, what did you think of this movie? The premise and casting sound interesting to me, but I think the content would be a little much for my taste.

I'd agree, it would be a bit much for you tastes. Blood, nudity, language, the works. Tom was great, though! As is to be expected :)

I would LIKE to have already seen it; with a lot of horror stuff, even vampire stuff, I wind up waiting for DVD, and then I wait for it to be available for rent, which for me means Library. The only exception this year has been Dracula Untold.

Yeah, I end up waiting till DVD for most movies, too. Sadly, Only Lovers Left Alive is harder to come by than I thought it would be, at least here in the US. (Come on, folks, you know there's lots of crazy Hiddles fans here, give us a break!)

Hiddles fans and vampire fans, both! But it's also Jim Jarmusch (the director), so I guess it's not as big a draw as we're probably thinking. Arty and weird.

The one I just watched, Under the Skin, is even weirder--Scarlett Johansen as a parasitic alien who traps her prey like a spider. I won't even get into the irony that she's best known for playing a character called "Black Widow." That one has been circulating like mad though. It's bizarre.

LOL, that's ironic, indeed. As for why it's circulating . . . hmmm. I'll chalk it up to Jonansson and how she's so unbelievably pretty.
