Because we could TOTALLY see Thranduil traipsing about Hogwarts with his nose as high in the air as any Malfoy, that's why. :)
Plus, when I first saw Chamber of Secrets, I decided then and there I wanted Jason Isaacs to play Thranduil if/when The Hobbit was filmed. Didn't happen, but Lee Pace was so FABULOUS as Thranduil, I was okay with it. To wrap up my fangirly ramble, this GIF gives me so much joy in so many ways, I don't know what to do with myself.
