Gothic/Symphonic Rock/Metal Favorites Series - Part 5 - Out in the Real World - Stream of Passion

When I first heard this song, I was in love with it before the first line of the lyrics was over. Not only is the vocalist's voice beautiful and the melody haunting, but the lyrics are like a heart-song for anybody who likes to withdraw into their imagination. (For me, that's pretty much a 24/7 urge. Screw modern reality. I'm going to read Austen/Tolkien/Dickens . . .)

I have the album 'Embrace the Storm' (from which this is taken) - to all intents and purposes remains their finest release to date. But then anything that Arjen Anthony Lucassen touches appears to turn to gold. Are you familiar with his projects Ayreon, Ambeon, Star One and Guilt Machine? All 4 are awesome too! I'll post a Guilt Machine track now :)

This is great! I love the complexity of the composition--especially with the violin bit. Thanks for sharing! :)

No, I haven't heard of any of his other projects, only Stream of Passion.
