Update: Stayin’ Alive

I don’t have much time so this is VERY much a drive-by post. But here’s what’s happening:

-Japan trip was amazing and exactly the self-bribe I needed.
-Working 7 days a week is KICKING MY ASS.
-I am feeling creative again and slowly starting to take 15 min here and there to write fiction and fanfic.
-I haven’t the time to get far in S2 of Shadow and Bone so honestly, Ash? If you wanna revisit the series in a watchalong in like 3 months, I will be free! Think that will be the only way I’ll finish it.
-that said! I am compiling a Darkling/Alina playlist. Yeah.
-I’m in the process of also making Irish lace tablecloths, 15-30 min here and there. One for mom, one for sis-in-law, one for me.

Are you really working seven days *every* week? Gah, that is torture!

As you know, my brain has been entirely devoured by The Vampire Diaries, so I'm not caught up on Shadow & Bone either! I did start rewatching the first season though, and took some screenshots to turn into icons later. 3 months should be enough time for me, too. <3

Yep! Unless I’m taking time off for traveling, 7 days a week! It’s a little embarrassing to admit but when I started, it was only half for money. Half of it was to force myself to have an obligation every day because my depression was getting… concerning. I had a suicidal friend who used to fill her schedule to the brim just to keep busy, and I thought it was silly of her but NOW. Now I get it and I’m a little grateful that she gave me the idea. I’m in a MUCH better place mentally now, it’s just I wanna save up a little more before I call it quits on thriftbooks. I actually really like thriftbooks.

Total sidetrack, but would you also like to have a Dorian Gray watchalong? I have been listening to an fantastic audiobook version of The Picture of Dorian Gray, and it’s making me want to see Ben Barnes as Dorian again very much.

I get that. It interrupts the negative feedback loop the brain gremlins start playing when you're alone with your thoughts too long. I'm glad you're enjoying Thriftbooks. They always bring good stuff to library conventions.

Woohoo! That's August, right? Is that three months?

I would love that--just let me know a good time! June is going to be kind of all over the place for me though. I've got the new DnD club at the library, plus Pride stuff, plus my cousin's wedding. There is so much going on next month.
