I liked Catching Fire very much as well but have no problem either with the dancing scene nor with Finnick. It's interesting how different perceptions can be because IMO he was quite over the top and an arrogant sod which fits the charcter well. That he redeemed himself later on in the arena didn't numb this aspect in my view.
