I've been trying to get said friend into HP for a while now. Merlin's okay, but HP is not? Sorry, hun, that's no excuse. I overcame my objections; she can, too.
Seriously. Even my stepmom got over that eventually. Still won't read the books, but she's well into the movies.

Mistborn is in my TBR pile! Haven't read it yet, but it's rising to the top of my list after watching those clips.
