Dialogue sounds incredibly boring (it's Underworld, of course there's blood), but Kate Beckinsale back WITH SWORDS?!?! YES, PLEASE! Also, nice Akutagawa hairstyle.

And many, many happy returns of the day! Proud to be a fan of one of the most epic dorks on the planet. :D Never stop inspiring people!

I've got to get this out now, while the memory is at its freshest. I really do wish I had a better memory--I'm terrified that this will dwindle to a vague happy haze all too soon.

Sorry it took me a day more than I promised--this turned out to be way longer than I'd expected, and our family's wifi turned out to be way more touchy than I'd expected. (JFYI, I took a few pictures and a couple snippets of video, but it wasn't much. Mostly, I just have my thoughts and videos from other people on YouTube.)

Here we go . . . )

Hello, all! Last few days have been a whirlwind of busy-ness and fatigue. (I say busy-ness instead of business, because there was nothing business-y about it. Yes, I'm feeling like butchering my native--and only--language today.) Fun, but not fun, because I've been separated from my preciousssss, the internet and the people on it. :D

But now I must fangirl over the premiere of Supernatural Season 8. This is special to me in so many ways, because for the first time, I'm caught up on a TV series just as it's actually, factually happening. That is an awesome feeling, minus the suspense rendered by commercials and waiting an entire week for the next episode. I'm used to blazing through 2 to 4 episodes a day.

Without dropping too many spoilers, let's just say I really enjoyed the episode, but felt it just a tad off. Like they had to amble through a set-up of the premise that really felt like nothing had happened, and the good stuff was still to come. Best part of the episode was, by far, our boys being reunited for the bajillionth time. That will never, ever get old.

And neither will this GIF. :D

Unless somebody's pulling legs on Facebook, PJ's going to make a trilogy of movies from The Hobbit.

Let me repeat that.

HOBBIT. TRILOGY.

Z. O. M. G.

Everything is beautiful! BRB, flailing for the rest of my life.

P.S.
Nightwish will be performing within an hour's drive from me later this fall. YESSSS!!!

Angelina Jolie is going to play Maleficent, in a live action movie ALL ABOUT MALEFICENT. Here's a Washington post article.

Just. Look. At. That. Picture. WOW.

Between this and the upcoming Hobbit movies, I think I'll just stay in a constant state of fangirl flailing for the next two years. ZOMG!

Maleficent is quite possibly my favorite Disney villainess (Scar's my favorite Disney villain). I've been fascinated with her ever since I was little--she's probably one of the main reasons why I have an ever-deepening goth streak. She made a huge impression on me, and still does.

I can't believe this is real.I'm vainly trying to compose myself, so I don't get disappointed if the movie doesn't live up to my already soaring expectations. Oh, well. I'll just hope, and if it doesn't live up to my hopes, I can always rant and write. XD

My brother and I pooled our money into getting a semi-expensive camera. (Bro describes it as high-end personal, low-end pro.) All of us kids want a nice camera to develop our skills before we go into the really expensive stuff, so we're getting one to share. That way I can take pictures for sketching and for fun; one brother can spam Instagram, or whatever it's called, with pro wannabe photos; and the another brother can create his own HQ textures for his 3D graphics. (I have three brothers. None of them are named Darrell.)

Now we're going crazy waiting for it to ship. We can't wait to start taking pictures of everything we see!

More rambling . . . )

I actually got a working moodtheme up! Yay! (So glad someone gave me a tip to help me in the right direction.)

My cousin's baby came last week (or was it the week before?), and today we got to see Junior for the first time.

More family and personal life rambling . . . )

I just saw the midnight premiere of The Hunger Games with my real life best friend forever.

I LOVED IT TO PIECES.

I don't think I'll get any sleep tonight; I'm way too wired!

WARNING: FANGIRLING, WITH MINOR SPOILERS (?) )

The latter part of February marks the Lord of the Rings fanniversary for my family. It's been four years since my life was significantly changed. (Honestly, the biggest influences in my life are the Bible, Laura Ingalls Wilder, J. R. R. Tolkien, Jane Austen, and J-rock.)

In celebration, I'm posting a video of one of my bazillion and one favorite LotR moments, and then dashing off to watch the extended edition of Fellowship of the Ring with my mum. (Even though I'm not British, I like calling her mum. XD)

Have I mentioned that I love the friendship of Legolas and Gimli to distraction, and this scene never fails to make me grin like an idiot? Or that, if I got the chance to go to Middle-earth, I'd probably follow them everywhere, and insist on going with them when they built and sailed the last ship to leave Middle-earth? Well, now you all know. :D

For once, my accent is categorized as Western American, or normal, as my dad would say. Not British/Australian/what-have-you. (Yes, lately, people have been saying I sound Australian.) Of course, it had to be an online quiz. LOL.

What American accent do you have?
Created by Xavier on Memegen.net

Western. Like Midland, Western is another accent that people consider neutral. So, you might not actually be from the Western half of the country, but you definitely sound like it.

And if you're not from the West, you are probably one of the following:
(a) A Pittsburgher - the quiz can't tell the difference;
(b) Someone from Canada (probably southern Ontario) who doesn't have a Canadian accent;
(c) Someone from northern New England who doesn't have a New England accent; or
(d) Someone from Texas or the Heartland who was born after 1980.
You are definitely not from New York, New Jersey, Chicago, Detroit, the Deep South, etc.

Take this quiz now - it's easy!
We're going to start with "cot" and "caught." When you say those words do they sound the same or different?
